Predictions 2006/2007
RACE WE ARE PREDICTINGHOW TO ENTER
I You have to enter manually the following fields: name, email address, first to fifth place; and select the race from the drop dwon menu.
II Enter with your full name!! This prevents us accidently mixing you up with other people.
III Please enter with the same email address all season. If you have to change it, please send us a short notification email.
IV You have to predict all 5 ranks!
V If any of the above isn't fulfilled, your prediction is unvalid and will get deleted.
VI Predictions for a certain race close 30 minutes prior to the official start time. First run / discipline for Slaloms, Giant Slaloms and Combined of course.
VII Please make sure you choose the right race from the drop down field! At the beginning of the season, you'll have all predicted races in there - a long list. We'll take out the names of races as they take place, but please check twice if you selected the right race before you hit "submit". Once sent, it's valid and cannot be changed!
VIII Predictions for all races open October 10, 2006! If you want to, you can predict races that are weeks/months away. This was necessary because of short distances between some of the races. Plus it makes it possible for people that aren't online daily (holidays, unregularily internet access, etc.) to take part in the predictions without missing races.
CANCELLED RACES
IX If a race gets postponed/re-scheduled at the same venue, predictions close 30 minutes prior to originally set start time and all predictions stay valid! This rule is also valid if the race will take place several days or even weeks after the date it was originally planned - as long as it's the same venue.
X If a race gets cancelled and re-scheduled at an other venue, and there's a minumum of 6 days in between the original and the new race date, all predictions for that race get deleted and you have to enter again! This because it's a common fact that racers perform better/worse on this or that slope.
XI If a race gets cancelled and re-scheduled at an other venue and there's less than 6 days in between the original and the new race date, the predictions for this race get cancelled.
XII If a race gets cancelled and doesn't get re-scheduled, we also delete this race's predictions and have one predicted race less in total.

Here's how points are given away:
You get 10 points for each guy you predicted in the Top 5 that does place in the Top 5 in the race. If you guess someone on the exact rank, you get these extra points:
1st place . . . . . . . . . . . . . 100 points
2nd place . . . . . . . . . . . . . 80 points
3rd place . . . . . . . . . . . . . 60 points
4th place . . . . . . . . . . . . . 50 points
5th place . . . . . . . . . . . . . 45 points
