I have a vacation house in Franconia NH, and ski at Cannon all the time. I've seen and talked with Bode tons, and it's become sort of routine. I see him playing soccer in town a lot, getting ice cream, driving around and stuff-- he's just a normal person. His family is very nice (his uncle's my coach), and they are always with him. Bode is an extremely nice guy, very laid-back. I've never really hounded him for autographs or photos, but I have casual pictures. He is a very friendly guy, always saying hi with a huge smile. Meeting Bode is a great experience-- one I'm glad so many of you have had to opportunity to have.

I met Bode at Whiteface Lake Placid NY. I got his autograph and gave him a bead person skier that I made for him and he was really surprised that I was giving him something and later I saw him I started 2 talk 2 him and he was really nice and I felt completely comfortable talking 2 him and it was weird because I am really shy.

Hy guys....I was in Kitzbühel...we met some guys from America, they were friends of Bryon Friedman (he ´s also a skier of the US team, for everyone who dont know this), so we spoke to them in the house, where the US skiers lived and we saw Daron and after the ceremony we also saw Bode and we took some photos with him....It was very funny....

Hi everybody, I am Kathrin froma Austria. I was in Kranjska Gora on Saturday! And I met Bode after the race. In this winter I saw him 6x! And he said he remembered me! He was so nice an smiled!! Bode is the best!! I will never forget him!! I also hope that I will see him again!! Bye.

I was in Kranjska Gora, after the first race, we went to the V.I.P and we stand in front of it, and after a time, there was Bode, but this time I asked him for a picture, there were coming so many people and wanted autographs etc. of him. And Bode didn´t speak anything, but in the and I´ve got a picture of him and me:-)

HY everyone. I´m Justina from Slovenia. At first I want to say, Maja, that your websise is very,very good. Well, I was in Kranjska Gora on Saturday too. And I saw him! I was planning to visit both giant slalom and slalom in Kranjska Gora. Then there was lots of fresh fallen snow and the road conditions weren't good on Sunday morning so i only went to giant slalom on Saturday. First I thought I wouldn't be able to make any photos because there was always lots of people around him (especially when he won). But after the winning ceremony people started leaving si went to Bode and he signed my photo (the one I took in KG in '99 - read the first meet&greet). I have to say he was very nice to every single fan. I'd probably got crazy.
Then I was walking from Podkoren (where the race actually is) to Kranjska Gora and there was a car passing me by very slowly (because of all the snow) and it was Bode in it. :) I don't know why, but I actually waved him and he waved me back and smiled. :))) I was sooooo happy. Then in Kranjska Gora I've also met Manfred Pranger who was running, and some others, not so famous skiers.
I later went to the bib draw and it was fun as well, especially coz I've never been to any. There I've also seen Claudia, Bode's girlfriend. :)
Like I've said, I didn't go to slalom on Sunday then, I was a bit sad, but after all, on Saturday, February 28, I had the time of my life!

I am from Austria and I am a big fan of Bode! I like your site very much! *gg* On 03. 01. 2004, in Flachau, GS, i met Bode! It was one of the best times in my life! my uncle and i were standing near the finish line when my uncle said that Bode was leaving. We ran after him and asked him to give us an autograph. I am very happy about this, but it wasn't enough. My uncle took a photgraph of me and Bode! I hope you read this and maybe write me an e-mail! Bye, Katrin.

I am from Austria and i hope you can read this! I was the first time in Schladming! I want to meet Bode but after the first race it seemed impossible! But when the race was over I was so lucky because I could enter the VIP area! And then I saw him! It was so fantastic! I got an autographe and I took many photos! I want to share the photos with you but I have no scanner! Sorry! He is so nice! I want to meet him again and again! Hey All!! A while ago I had posted something on here about Bode, and for some reason it put 'A Friend' for my name. No idea. Anyways, I know Bode from Cannon Mountain in Franconia, New Hampshire where I live and work and where Bode grew up and skied. I had been thinking not long before Bode's season started that I wanted to do something for him when he returned about his whole race season since he is so far away from home. Well, I had decided with a few people that a scrap book would be a good idea. At the end of the book, I am going to have letters and such things from fans that wanted to write to him or say something. I thought this would be the perfect place to ask. If anyone wants to write a letter and have it put in the scrapbook, please e-mail me at DancinDeepUnder@comcast.net. I was sopossed to go see Bode Miller @ the Gravity Lab in Minnesota.. They took the top racers of my league and said we could all go! I missed it but all my friends saw him. I really wish i could see him again and i hope to soon because i watch him on tv all the time! I hope maybe someday ill be able to make it there. But i heard he was a great guy.

Yesterday I was in Schladming, and here we met a very friendly security man who let us in the vip-area, there we saw bode after the first race, and I asked him if he could give me his number after the race. He said if he will not win, so I said to him : "I hope you wont win :-) "and he laughed... =) After the race he came to me and gave me the number, and he was very happy altough he hasn't won. I also met his brother and he was also very friendly and let us have a look in the bodemobil...

I was on Bode's website, and was watching bode's movie and at the end of it, was Ken Sowles e-mail, so I e-mailed him and he was soooo nice and he sent me Bode's autograph, I have not really met him, but it ment a lot to me, I am also plaining to got his summer camp this summer, which I can't wait for.

I actually Ski with Bode and have known him for years. He grew up Skiing at Cannon in New Hampshire where I live and work, where his mother still currently works. I will be passing on this web address to Bode the next time I see or speak with him. He always loves his fans support for him, he will love it.

It was actually my sister who met him. She has a friend who's best friends with Bode. The guy set it up so that my sister could have breakfast with him. She was so nervous she bairly talked. She also has a poster from Bode saying: "Hey, Kimbo, see ya on the poduim!'

Not really a face-to-face meeting, but his agent, Ken Sowers, was a big help. Last November, I was visiting a son temporarily living in Utah for medical treatment. We saw races were to be held in Park City while I would be visiting--but I couldn't figure out how to get tickets. Ken hooked me up with the right people and we saw the races. Ken even sent my sons personally autographed posters of Bode! And I saw Bode from a distance (I have a pic, but not a great one and it's not on my computer-sorry), but he smiled and waved. We also met Bode's mom, a very sweet lady. I'm wishing I could be in Park City again this year for the races.

When in met Bode Miller- i was possibly the happiest person alive when Bode used to ski on K2 my uncle worked for them and was the head of the race department... aka Bode Millers boss the man he went to talk to! So before the world ever knew who he was my uncle sent me a poster of Bode...which i still have and it was his first poster ever ...Thats when i first started liking him and that was in 97 or 98 and this year i finally got to meet him. I have tons of pictures but not online yet I will have to find a scanner and scan them in but he was really cool and had no problem taking pictures with me...we even had a conversation.

Well, I go to Tamarack with Bode so I know him very well. He is really cool and down to earth. Last year his girlfriend Lizzie was at camp. She was cool. His sister Wren is a counselor and she is very cool.

We met Bode in Kranjska Gora this year (it was the first, but we hope it wasn´t the last time;). We were searching him at hotels and then we realised that he was in Kompas hotel. On Saturday evening we came there and we were waiting for him (he was going to dinner). When we saw him coming closer we encircled him and asked him for autogram. Later we pleased a man who was looking us to take our photo with Bode. When we came back to Ljubljana, we had a little but terrifying accident. Marjeta has almost lost the film with photos. But fortunantelly she found it. What a relieve!!! This photo is one of our favourites now but unfortunatelly we can´t send it (it is not on our computers). We will never forget this moment. It was fantastic and unforgettable. We really hope that we will meet him again ´cause he is such a great person :)))

I guess I'll be the first to write something about my meeting(s) with Bode. I've met him several times in World Cup races but I will only describe the moment I've first met him and will stay in my mind forever. I've first met when I didn't really know who he was, lol:) It was on 21st of Decmber, 1999. There was a FIS World Cup slalom in Kranjska Gora and I decided to visit it (like few years before). My favourite skier back then was Austrian giant slalom specialist Christian Mayer (he's, by the way, my second fave skier now). Anyway, I was standing there when someone from USA ski team came and I had now idea who he was. But he was smiling and he was very funny...I was really impressed by him. Then I checked his start number and took a look at the start list. And what was it written? BODE MILLER. I then watched him skiing on the second run and I was really impressed by his funny way of skiing too. But he, unfortunally, didn't finished the race. Now you know when I started to support this guy. I hope I'll meet him again and again and again...See picture here
